The world’s most popular audio streaming subscription service is looking for a Web Engineer to join the band in a consultant assignment. The client has transformed music listening forever when launched in 2008.

Period: ASAP to January (full-time), with a possibility of extension.

About the role

We’re looking for a Web Engineer to help design and build a shared TypeScript SDK that centralizes reusable platform libraries, tools, and best practices. This SDK will make it easier for teams across our client to integrate with internal web infrastructure, improve consistency, and accelerate development workflows.

This role is embedded within a broader platform mission rather than a single product team. You'll work in close collaboration with internal advisors, participate in a lightweight standup cadence, and lead a focused, well-scoped project. While not part of a formal team, you’ll be supported by stakeholders across the company.

What you'll do

• Design and develop a shared TypeScript SDK for use across our client's internal web stack
• Consolidate platform libraries, gRPC wrappers, and common utilities
• Engage directly with web infra teams to align on best practices and encourage adoption
• Contribute to developer experience improvements through documentation and tooling
• Join web-focused ceremonies (advisory boards, check-ins) and collaborate across platform missions

Who you are

• Strong expertise in TypeScript, including structuring libraries and reusable modules
• Solid understanding of web infrastructure, including dependency management, build tooling, and API integration (e.g., gRPC)
• Ability to operate autonomously, navigate ambiguity, and drive alignment across teams
• Comfortable interfacing with a variety of teams and disciplines to gather input and evangelize usage
• Bonus: Experience contributing to SDKs, internal platforms, or developer experience teams
