Python/ Scala Data Engineer

  • Help design, build and continuously improve the clients online platform
  • Research, suggest and implement new technology solutions following best practices/standards
  • Take responsibility for the resiliency and availability of different products

Requirements

  • Develop robust data models and build data pipelines using dbt and Snowflake.
  • Demonstrate strong technical expertise and hands-on experience with cloud-based data engineering and ETL stacks.
  • Collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders, leveraging excellent communication and customer interfacing skills as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Perform data process analysis and performance tuning to ensure optimal efficiency and scalability.
  • Write high-quality, efficient code with strong proficiency in SQL.
  • Possess solid data engineering experience in ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline development.
  • Work with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and GitHub for version control and automation.
  • Demonstrate experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Work in alignment with Agile methodologies and contribute to iterative delivery cycles.
Mandatory Skills
  • Scala (preferred) / Python / PySpark
  • SQL (must-have)
All the above skills are mandatory.

Desired Skills
  • Experience with Qlik or Power BI for data visualization.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies and services (AWS, Azure, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and GitHub practices.
