The ABN AMRO app wouldn’t exist without the talented developers and engineers in our department, the Digital Channels Enabling (DCE) Grid. We currently have one vacancy in a team responsible for the private APIs built for the ABN AMRO app. The team is responsible for maintenance and end-to-end delivery of eight BFFs (Backend for Frontend), most of which are on Azure, while some are On-Prem applications. In addition, there are various compliance-related tasks that the teams are working on, many of which have strict deadlines. For example, a bank-wide Developer Dashboard has been published, which the Management Team (MT) regularly reviews for any non-compliance. The team is expected to consistently demonstrate progress in addressing such issues. Therefore, we would greatly value your help!

At the DCE Grid, we believe in a DevOps way of working while focusing on solid principles that give teams a sense of autonomy and purpose in their job. We have adopted a hybrid model of working with 2-5 office days. Additionally, we offer everyone opportunities to improve and grow their skills. Job description

Change the IT (Information Technology) landscape of the components as per new architecture (web team) or the future state (app team) guidelines.

• Keep the components up to date with the latest standards in the bank.
• Migrate to the latest services offered in the bank.
• Development of APIs (APPLICATION PROGRAMMING INTERFACES)
• Implement new features

Requirements

Must have:

• Experience on Java 11,17 and Spring Boot framework
• Experience with Cloud Technologies including Monitoring and infra as a code (IaC)
• Experience on any Testing frameworks (Unit and Integration testing)
• Experience on building CI/CD pipelines (preferably Azure DevOps)
• Analytical skills (for debugging)
• Decent communication skills (you can communicate about technical decisions with less technical people)

Good to have:

• Experience with microservices architecture
• Experience with API (APPLICATION PROGRAMMING INTERFACES) design
• Experience within ABN AMRO
• Understanding of the concepts used in App development (app team)
