Role: .NET Engineer

Location: Gothenburg, Sweden (Onsite)

The following is a summary of activities you will be expected to perform:

• Design solutions to user requirements using the Volvo Group technology stack
• Design secure and reusable APIs
• Break down larger problems into smaller pieces so they can fit the team sprints
• Provide sufficient information so that backlog items can be planned with confidence
• Write repeatable unit and integration tests so that the software is reliable and maintainable
• Troubleshoot user issues in all software environments and implement adequate corrections
• Write technical documentation for other developers and architects
• Review the code of your peers and write code that can be reviewed by them
• Automate the build, test, package and deployment of software releases
• Monitor application environments for errors and anomalies and react proactively

Required experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field
• At least 1 year of experience working in the financial industry or equivalent domain knowledge
• At least 5 years of recent experience working as a Software Engineer with the .NET Framework
• Experience writing RESTful and RPC APIs and securing them with the OAuth 2.0 specification
• Experience with .NET MVC, Entity Framework and ASP .NET
• Experience with .NET testing frameworks and tools
• Experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with Docker Containers
• Experience with Kubernetes or RedHat OpenShift
• Experience with Messaging platforms such as IBM MQ or Apache Kafka

Additional valuable knowledge and experiences

• Experience with web development using React or Angular
• Experience with GraphQL and Webhooks
• Experience with HashiCorp Terraform
• Azure Fundamentals certification
