Lead Automation Engineer

Leap29 are working with a global technology leader that specialises in industrial automation and electrification. They’re looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to join their team and support projects that improve reliability, efficiency, and sustainability across complex production environments.

What you’ll do:

• Design, develop, and implement automation systems for industrial processes.
• Configure PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems to meet project requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems with mechanical and electrical designs.
• Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of automation solutions on-site and remotely.
• Ensure all systems meet safety, performance, and compliance standards.

What you’ll bring:

• A degree in Electrical, Automation, or Control Engineering (or related field).
• Proven experience with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley, or similar).
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols and control networks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
