Who you are 🧭

We’re looking for a Principal Engineer — a hands-on technical leader who raises the bar for how we design, build, and operate software.

You’re deeply technical and decisive, but equally focused on clarity, reliability, and helping teams make good choices.

You think across boundaries, connecting product intent to sound architecture, and know when to zoom in to code or zoom out to patterns that span teams.

You work closely with the Head of Engineering and senior engineers across Ignite to strengthen technical judgment, engineering practices, and long-term direction.

You likely have:

• 8+ years of experience building and operating modern cloud-based products.
• Proven ability to drive technical direction and influence teams through reasoning and example — not authority.
• Experience designing, scaling, and evolving distributed systems in production.
• A strong product mindset — you care why we build something as much as how.
• A habit of improving the environment you work in: tools, standards, and shared understanding.

What you will be doing 💻

• Build and ship. Stay hands-on in production code, solving complex problems and modeling disciplined delivery.
• Shape and simplify. Anticipate cross-team challenges, define clear patterns, and make systems easier to understand and evolve.
• Strengthen engineering practice. Work with the Head of Engineering to lift technical standards, judgment, and reliability across the organization.
• Guide by example. Pair, review, and mentor experienced engineers to help them grow their impact and confidence.
• Collaborate deeply. Partner with product and design to turn customer insight into practical, scalable solutions.
