The Role
We are looking for a dynamic and pivotal member of the Metergy Leadership Team to lead our North America Technology Team. The Technology Leader is accountable for the delivery and operations of our core systems, architecture, and support of day-to-day technology operations. We are a growth company and expect to invest heavily in our systems and new technologies to gain economies of scale and efficiencies in our businesses. The Technology Leader plays a leading role in the modernization, automation, operations, and standardization of our technologies, ensuring the organization adopts and leverages the latest industry-leading tools and platforms. They will be responsible for on-premises and cloud infrastructure, as well as building the automation team, which will enable a better time to market for the delivery of our IT services. The Technology Leader will ensure the evolution of our technologies to guarantee the stability, security, and sustainability of the infrastructure.
In addition, the role is responsible for managing service levels across all IT-supported areas, including desktop support and other critical elements of the business that depend on consistent and reliable IT service delivery.
Responsibilities Include:
Information Technology Leadership & Service Delivery
- Lead and enhance a team of professionals in the areas of service transformation, Service Management, metrics, and reporting
 - Successfully transform the IT organization by delivering best practices supporting Service Management and overall Operations Service Delivery
 - Oversee risk management, resource allocation, project prioritization, research and recommendation of new systems and software products and services
 - Implement and transition security strategy for the enterprise architecture and remote access strategy
 - Promote and champion the benefits of Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge Management, and other IT Service Management processes
 - Lead the continued adoption of Azure DevOps throughout the organization
 - Accountable for proactive cost management, optimization and budgeting across the IT group
 
- Establish effective approach to manage all cloud service providers (CSPs)
 - End-to-end ownership of Cloud financials – business cases, Cloud consumption, forecasting, financial modeling and financial optimizations
 - Own and maintain a Cloud optimization roadmap with delivery commitments
 - Build cost optimization frameworks by (a) reporting on granular Cloud utilization costs, (b) work with application teams to identify cost optimization opportunities, and (c) assist them in implementing such opportunities
 
- Help define the the Enterprise Architecture Roadmap and lead projects within the roadmap
 - Working in collabortation with the PMO office for IT resource assignment on projects and Scrum teams
 - Work with all levels of leadership in the development of multiyear strategic IT plans including organizational shifts as IT environments change
 - Lead the creation, allocation and oversight of IT annual, long-range budgets and strategic initiatives while remaining aligned to long range business strategies
 - Participate as a leadership team member, in Strategic Planning to actively define the organization’s multi-year goals and execution plans
 
- Evolve the IT organization to support the growing needs of the business
 - Build and maintain a strong delivery and support team, developing future leaders, advancing skills, and empowering high potential team members
 - Ensure a positive, diverse and inclusive work and learning environment
 - Execute an innovative IT resource model to efficiently scale up resources required for IT projects, leveraging both internal and external providers. Implement cutting-edge approaches to staff projects and ensure successful software delivery
 
- Develop and implement strategies and programs to identify and minimize risk associated with IT systems and infrastructure
 - Contribute and respond to enterprise risk management processes and initiatives
 - Engage with Brookfield IT leadership on Cyber Security (NIST Cyber Security Framework) and all DRP or BCP initiatives
 
- Dynamic leader with a proven track record as a cutting-edge technology design and implementation expert. Over 6 years of experience in leadership and delivery roles within a fast-growing, customer-focused environment
 - Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science, engineering or business administration is required, master’s degree is preferred
 - Role model and champion modern ways-of-working such as Agile, DevOps and IT Service Management
 - Experience driving digital transformation, implementing digital capabilities (web, mobile, CRM, eCommerce, etc.) and activating data and analytics capabilities
 - Deep expertise and experience with Microsoft products and cloud environment – Azure AD, Azure and all the end-user applications (M365, SharePoint, Power Platform, MS Dynamics - ERP)
 - Strong communication and “storytelling” skills – ability to articulate a vision or concept in simple terms to a broad audience at every level
 - Experience with post-merger/acquisition technology and application integration is an asset
 - Understanding of relevant tools and platforms (e.g. cloud platforms, web technologies, API, client-server technologies, continuous integration and deployment) and strong business acumen and ability to understand and drive business objectives
 - Experience leading compliance efforts through various standards and certifications (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST Cyber Security Framework, SOC2)
