Job Title: UX/UI Design & Front-End Development Specialist

Location: Remote (EST working hours mandatory)

Position Type: Full-time, permanent

Reports To: Lead Consultant

Salary Range: $50,000 – $75,000 CAD annually

🌿 About Us

Sarah Ali Philanthropy Inc. is where meaning meets mastery. We help movements, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations reach advocates, raise money, and scale impact. We blend strategy and soul to grow purpose-driven philanthropy from the roots up.

We don’t believe in transactional fundraising. We believe in storytelling that moves people. Stewardship that feels like care. And campaigns that bloom into movements.

If you’re a builder with both creative and analytical range—someone who can own a project from brief to launch, translate strategy into intuitive design, and use data to make every experience perform better—you’ll fit right in.

đź’Ľ About the Role

As a UX/UI Design & Front-End Development Specialist, you’ll own digital experiences end-to-end—from brief and concept to design, build, and launch. You’ll create interfaces that are beautiful, functional, and data-informed, then continuously refine them based on real user behaviour and performance outcomes.

You’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing donor funnels, landing pages, microsites, and campaign experiences that convert.

Every deliverable you create will be developer-ready, accessible, and performance-tested.

You’ll collaborate closely with strategists, writers, and project managers to deliver work that’s not just visually compelling, but measurable in impact.

🧠 What You’ll Do

Experience Design & Strategy

  • Interpret briefs, research insights, and performance data to design user flows and wireframes that meet strategic goals.
  • Design responsive layouts and high-fidelity prototypes in Figma that are ready for development and client review.
  • Build and maintain scalable design systems, component libraries, and style guides.

Front-End Development

  • Convert approved designs into responsive, SEO-friendly web builds using HTML, CSS (Tailwind or SCSS), and JavaScript.
  • Implement designs within WordPress, Webflow, or similar CMS frameworks.
  • Maintain clean, well-documented code and ensure design fidelity post-launch.
  • Conduct QA, troubleshoot bugs, and ensure consistent performance across browsers and devices.

Data-Driven Experience Optimization

  • Use analytics tools (GA4, Hotjar, Clarity, etc.) to measure user flow, drop-off, and engagement.
  • Translate performance insights into actionable UX/UI updates.
  • Run lightweight experiments (A/B or content variation tests) to validate design hypotheses.
  • Present findings and recommendations that drive measurable uplift in engagement and giving.

Collaboration

  • Manage full experience lifecycle: from concept and prototyping to live deployment and optimization.
  • Communicate proactively with internal teams and clients about status, blockers, and results.
  • Align design and build decisions with overall campaign goals and user data.
  • Lead reviews and advocate for design and technical best practices.

🧩 Who You Are

  • 3–5 years’ experience in UX/UI design and front-end development, ideally for mission-driven or nonprofit brands.
  • Expert in Figma (components, variants, auto layout, dev handoff).
  • Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (React or Vue experience an asset).
  • Experienced in implementing designs within WordPress or Webflow.
  • Strong grasp of UX principles, accessibility (WCAG 2.1), and responsive design.
  • Able to make decisions using data, not guesswork.
  • Highly organized, autonomous, and able to manage multiple builds simultaneously.
  • Understanding of SEO and site speed optimization.
  • Experience with Git version control and modern front-end frameworks.
  • Familiarity with motion design or lightweight animation (GSAP, Lottie).
  • Experience designing and building for multilingual or global audiences.

đź’– What You Value

  • Purpose over profit. People over platforms. Growth over perfection.
  • Equity, inclusion, and justice as non-negotiables.
  • Data-informed design, clean code, and clarity in every experience.

✨ What We Offer

  • Salary range: $50,000 – $75,000 CAD annually, based on experience and skill.
  • Fully remote, flexible, and human-centred work environment.
  • Opportunities for mentorship, growth, and leadership development.
  • A team that cares deeply about our work, our clients, and each other.
  • Generous leave policy and structured rest periods.
  • Technology and professional development funds.
