About Kingscrowd
Kingscrowd is the leading independent data platform for online startup investing. We power the private markets with ratings, analytics, and workflows that serve investors, founders, and institutions. Our products span investor tools (e.g., Kingscrowd Pro and portfolio tracking), founder solutions (advisory, filings, and diligence through raisepapers and CrowdCheck), and data services (institutional datasets, public data APIs, and research).
Our mission is to democratize access to venture-style opportunities and make capital raising more efficient and transparent. We aggregate and standardize data across Regulation Crowdfunding (Reg CF) and Regulation A offerings, deliver quantitative insights and research, and provide software that helps founders launch, manage, and communicate their raises—all on a modern, data-driven stack.
Why this role exists
We’re a small team that needs to scale with several near-term launches supporting our customers (retail private market investors and founders raising capital online). We’re delivering new membership features via Kingscrowd Pro (Nuxt app), the Investor Relations (IR) Portal (Nuxt app), a new Due Diligence report portal and API, and shared services that span numerous web properties. We need a product-minded developer who can contribute across front-end, light back-end, and integrations to accelerate these launches and eventually own responsibility across various codebases.
Role snapshot
You’ll maintain and evolve our recently shipped apps—Kingscrowd Pro and the IR Portal—and then help re-platform Kingscrowd.com to a new Nuxt app. You’re product-minded, have a growth mindset, ask “why,” and uphold a high bar for quality: you don’t just close tickets—you own outcomes. You are curious, coachable, and comfortable learning from mistakes.
You will also have the opportunity to work on our back-end Laravel application, which houses all the APIs and the investment and capital-raising data that powers the front-end applications.
What you’ll do
- Own & extend shipped apps: Add and iterate on features for Pro, One, and IR (e.g., search facets, markets views, reports/exports, portfolio UX), fix bugs, and keep performance, accessibility, and security sharp.

- Own the problem, not just the ticket: Understand the “why,” validate requirements with leads/analysts/customers, propose better UX when needed, and push back constructively if the plan won’t deliver the right outcome.

- Work the stack: Consume back-end APIs (Laravel) and create small Nitro/Node endpoints where needed; contribute lightweight backend changes in collaboration with our API team.

- Re-platform Kingscrowd.com: Help plan and execute the migration to a modern Nuxt app (routing, SSR/SEO, content strategy, component system, analytics, and more).

- Ship in increments: Break down specs, estimate, communicate risks, ship high-quality PRs, and document decisions so others can move fast, too.

- Guard quality end-to-end: Write pragmatic tests, add meaningful types, validate edge cases, and ship with observability (Sentry) and product analytics (GA4/Mixpanel/Hotjar). You test like a user before you merge.

- Auth, billing & entitlements: Maintain and harden legacy WordPress/MemberPress OAuth flows, handle entitlements and billing edge cases, and improve signup/upgrade friction.

Qualifications: what makes you a fit
- 2–5 years building web apps (or equivalent portfolio) with Vue/Nuxt (3/4), TypeScript, Tailwind, REST APIs, and JavaScript; comfortable reading basic PHP/Laravel to collaborate on Merlin (our back-end); comfortable integrating Stripe for payments/subscriptions.
 - You’ve shipped data-heavy UI (tables, charts, filters, pagination, exports) and care about a11y and performance.
 - You’re product-minded: you clarify requirements, spot edge cases, and suggest better UX instead of blindly following a ticket.
 - Pragmatic about tests and DX: linting/typing, useful unit/e2e coverage, and fast feedback loops.

Nice to have: WordPress/MemberPress (legacy codebase), OAuth/OIDC, Nuxt Content/SEO, Playwright, Sentry, SQL basics, Charting (Chart.js).
Growth path
We level at Engineer I (Junior). Strong performance on ownership, code quality, and delivery can lead to promotion to Engineer II (Mid).
The Team
You’ll join a remote-first, cross-functional technology and data group that builds and operates the systems behind Kingscrowd’s consumer products, founder/advisory tools, and institutional data offerings. We own the full lifecycle: data ingestion and ETL, our core data platform and APIs, public web apps (including Kingscrowd.com and Pro), founder portals (IR and CrowdCheck), and the internal tooling that keeps the business running smoothly.
We collaborate daily with investment analysts, content, marketing, advisory, legal, and sales—shaping ideas, scoping solutions, and shipping iterative improvements. The mandate is equal parts new product delivery and continuous optimization (quality, performance, reliability, and security). If you like solving real user problems and automating the repetitive parts, you’ll fit right in.
