About Birdy:

Birdy is an AI-powered meeting productivity platform that helps teams make meetings shorter and smarter. Birdy integrates deeply with Microsoft Teams to automate pre-meeting check-ins, generate AI-driven agendas, and summarize discussions with recording and transcript thus enabling teams to focus meetings on real problem-solving, not status updates.

Role Overview

We’re seeking a Senior Developer on a 1-month contract to help implement key updates in Birdy’s product roadmap. You’ll work closely with the founding team to quickly understand the existing architecture, and build the required changes so they align seamlessly with the current design, AWS environment, and CI/CD setup.

Contract Details

• Duration: 1 month (potential for extension), 40 hours per week
• Hourly Rate: Up to $60/hour (1099 basis, paid weekly)
• Location: 100% Remote (U.S. only)
• Candidates on OPT and who don't need visa sponsorship are welcome to apply.
• No Staffing agencies please.

Responsibilities

• Implement the prioritized roadmap changes within the current design patterns, infrastructure, and pipelines.
• Ensure changes are secure (Spring Security/JWT) and production-ready using the existing CI/CD and monitoring.
• Collaborate via Microsoft Teams (daily stand-up + ad-hoc video calls).

Required Skills

• Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, JWT
• Microsoft Graph / Microsoft Teams extensions
• AWS: ECS, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, SQS, SES, Lambda, Parameter Store
• CI/CD: GitHub Actions; Liquibase
• Able to operate as a hands-on builder (not just design)

Other Requirements

• Must be available for daily stand-up and team collaboration via video calls on Microsoft Teams.
