Summit Human Capital is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with a passion for building secure, scalable, and automated cloud infrastructure. This individual will serve as a foundational engineering hire responsible for maturing DevOps and site reliability practices as the company transitions from internal tools to customer-facing applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in GCP, Terraform, and CI/CD pipeline development, combined with a security-first mindset and a willingness to wear multiple hats across infrastructure, automation, and light application development.
Requirements:
- 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering.
- Proven expertise with GCP (preferred) and proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
- Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
- Familiarity with SOC 2 or similar security frameworks; experience implementing IAM, OAuth, and dynamic credential management.
- Proficiency in monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar.
- Ability to thrive in a startup-style environment, working directly with leadership to build from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure on GCP to support TXI's growing platform.
- Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines to accelerate reliable deployments and reduce manual processes.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and environment management using Terraform and scripting tools.
- Build and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks to ensure uptime and performance visibility.
- Support and advance SOC 2 readiness through secure access control, vulnerability management, and documentation.
- Collaborate with developers to integrate DevOps best practices and contribute to light application development when needed.
