Position: Associate - Investment MIS & Transaction Support
JOB PURPOSE:
To collect, collate, monitor, conceptualize and analyze management of various OIA invested asset classes, provide periodic actionable insights through Investment MIS & TS reports/dashboards to OIA’s, and accurately input the transactions relating to contributions/receipt of funds for various investments internal & external stakeholders in order to support better decision making at the Authority.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To develop in-depth awareness of the different asset classes along with their investments made by OIA to take advantage and contribute to a better support of the Authority in its decision-making.
• Create formats for collecting financial/ non-financial data from internal as well external sources (typically investee companies) to acquire relevant information.
• Acquire financial/ non-financial datasets from primary and secondary sources and store it in a suitable format to enable its efficient analysis and interpretation using different analytical tools.
• Identify and track key metrics to prepare various MIS & TS reports.
• Interpret data and analyze results using different analytic tools to be shared with the Sr. Manager/ Manager – MIS &TS.
• Create benchmark analysis with the national Company’s peers & competitors to enable the comparison of the companies’ performance against the market.
• Prepare reports and present data analysis to help asset managers and other stakeholders in making sound decisions related to OIA’s businesses.
• Monitor performance indicators, highlight trends and analyze causes of unexpected variance to share the information with the Sr. Manager/ Manager – MIS & TS and contribute to his well-informed decisions.
• Provide data as required by external stakeholders based on regular/ad hoc requests to meet their request efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Provide data to the Corporate Media & Communication directorate at OIA based on request in order to communicate it externally.
• Comply with the implementation of MIS & TS departmental policies and procedures, to ensure that all relevant procedural and legislative requirements are fulfilled.
• Comply with all relevant health, safety, and quality requirements, in order to guarantee employee safety and legislative compliance.
• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices considering ‘leading best practices’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree Specialization in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or any other relevant field
• CFA, CMA, CPA, FMVA, FRM is desirable
• 6 to 7 years of related experience for Associate
• 8 to 10 years of related experience for Senior Associate
• Fluency in English is essential
• Fluency in Arabic is advantageous
• Proficiency in MS Office is essential (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
• Experience with business related software is desirable
