This role combines hands-on technical development with team leadership, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, securely, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a small team of Laravel developers, fostering professional growth and teamwork.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure backend solutions using Laravel.
- Collaborate closely with front-end developers, designers, and product managers to define project goals and deliver impactful web applications.
- Conduct code reviews, maintain high coding standards, and champion best practices in development.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clarity in project requirements, progress, and challenges.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
- Oversee project timelines, ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule and aligned with business objectives.
- Maintain thorough technical documentation and ensure consistency across development projects.
- 5+ years of professional experience in PHP development, with 3+ years focused on Laravel.
- Proven experience in a senior or lead role, managing or mentoring other developers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of MVC architecture, RESTful API design, and modern software development practices.
- Proficiency with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
- Experience with Git, version control workflows, and collaborative development processes.
- Working knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks).
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, provide feedback, and inspire others in a dynamic environment.
