Full-timeProject Management

An international architecture and design practice requires a Senior Project Manager to join its London studio. This is a senior-level position overseeing the design and delivery of Mission Critical and Data Centre Projects. The role combines creative coordination with commercial and managerial responsibility, ensuring each project is delivered to the highest design and technical standards, on time and within budget.

You’ll act as a key point of contact for clients and consultants, guiding architects and interior designers through all phases of design and construction. This position suits a proactive, well-organised profile who can balance strategic thinking with attention to detail, and who enjoys leading people as much as managing process.

This role involves strong communication skills to liaise with external clients, consultants, and teams, as well as to oversee the internal team — smoothing over issues and ensuring delivery at all stages. You’ll be working across a variety of projects and typologies, so it suits individuals who enjoy variety in their day-to-day work and who are ambitious, proactive, and able to move tasks and decisions forward.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary client contact, building strong relationships and understanding project goals and requirements.

• Lead the delivery of projects from concept through construction, ensuring alignment with design intent, budget, schedule, and quality standards.

• Manage multidisciplinary project teams, coordinate consultants, and facilitate collaboration across design, technical, and construction teams.

• Oversee project documentation, drawings, specifications, and quality control throughout all phases.

• Monitor budgets, programmes, and resource allocation; manage risks and resolve technical or delivery challenges.

• Ensure compliance with building codes, accessibility requirements, sustainability standards, and best practice guidelines.

• Mentor and support junior staff, fostering professional development and a collaborative team environment.

• Contribute to business development and studio practices, including identifying opportunities for repeat work and implementing lessons learned from past projects.

• Attend client meetings, presentations, and site visits as needed, providing guidance on technical and design matters.

Experience

• Registered architect (RIBA/ARB) or equivalent project management accreditation preferred.

• 10-15 years’ professional experience within an architectural or design/project management environment.

• Strong working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project (or similar project planning tools).

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

• Organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Passion for high-quality design, technical excellence, and collaborative working.

• Proven track record delivering large-scale hospitality, mixed-use, or complex commercial projects.

• Strong leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams through all project stages.

• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, programmes, and client relationships simultaneously.

• Solid understanding of contract negotiation, and consultant coordination.

• Experience working throughout all RIBA stages.

• International project experience is an advantage
