Role Description

We’re hiring a Frontend Engineer to lead the design and implementation of Scholé’s learning experience. This is a full-time on-site role for a Front Engineer located in Lausanne. Daily tasks include designing, coding, testing, and maintaining web applications.

What You'll Do

• Build and refine modern, responsive UIs using React and modern design frameworks. We have v0, but we’re looking for someone to own the front end.
• Collaborate with a designer and AI engineers to prototype and implement elegant user journeys.
• Develop and maintain a design system and component library that embodies Scholé’s visual identity and pedagogical philosophy.
• Integrate frontend logic with Python/Django backends and LLM-driven personalization pipelines.
• Ensure exceptional performance, accessibility, and user experience across all devices.
• Contribute to product design discussions, bringing a strong aesthetic and usability perspective to every feature.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years experience in frontend engineering (React or similar).
• A passion for beautiful, functional interfaces. You care about layout, motion, and micro-interactions as much as code quality.
• Experience working on frontend with APIs and full-stack services (Django/Python experience is a plus).
• Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g. Azure) and relational databases.
• A strong sense of UX craft, accessibility, and responsive design best practices.

(Nice-to-haves)

• Experience integrating LLMs or AI assistants into interactive interfaces.
• Background in educational technology or learning design.
• Knowledge of data privacy and security standards for web apps.

Start Date: As soon as possible

Salary: 80,000 - 90,000 CHF

Location: EPFL Innovation Park, Lausanne, Switzerland
