The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for its Human Resources Directorate (HR) – DG Office & Strategy Division (COORD) - Communication and Events Unit (CEU), at its headquarters in Luxembourg: TRAINEE
Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st April 2026)
(With possible extension up to 6 months if required by University)

Objective of the traineeship
The HR Communication and Events Unit (CEU) supports HR and the Bank in delivering HR communication and staff events, in order to align our staff around the Bank's mission and HR topics. The Unit is looking for a trainee to support the team's core activities in the areas of internal communication and events and assist in the delivery of special bank-wide initiatives.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the HR Communication and Events team, you will:
- Support the team's core communication activities including writing and publishing internal news stories around a range of HR topics, keeping the intranet up-to-date.
 - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information and develop content for internal communications.
 - Create internal, engaging videos to support the design of communication materials.
 - Support the organisation of internal events, such as townhall meetings or other celebratory events.
 - Provide fresh input and brainstorm new communication ideas to improve employee communications on HR matters.
 - Provide general team support, archiving or other project management tasks.
 
- Final year of studies or University degree on Communication, Human Resources Management, Marketing, or any related subject.
 - Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
 - Strong attention to details.
 - Experience in editing content and/or events organisation would be considered an advantage.
 - Experience with design programmes (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc) or video creation programmes would be an advantage.
 - Good knowledge of standard Microsoft Office tools, in particular PowerPoint.
 - Excellent written and spoken English. Knowledge of French is an advantage.
