Head of Business Development– Electric Mobility & Charging Solutions (Europe, Remote/Netherlands-based)
We are partnering with a fast-growing, innovative company at the forefront of Europe’s electric mobility and charging infrastructure revolution. As the company rapidly expands its charging network across multiple European countries, they are looking to strengthen their commercial capabilities by hiring a Head of Business Development
The Role
Reporting directly to the Growth Director, you will lead the company’s commercial expansion across Europe. You will be responsible for the full sales pipeline, from securing local deals at individual charging sites to negotiating national-level agreements with large employers, mobility providers, and B2B2C partners. You will also have the opportunity to build and lead an international sales team, driving strategy, revenue growth, and market penetration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shape Strategy & Drive Growth: Define and execute the commercial sales strategy to achieve ambitious growth targets. Identify new opportunities across multiple markets, implement scalable processes, and ensure sales contribute significantly to network expansion and revenue.
 - Lead & Develop the Team: Build, structure, and manage an international sales team. Provide coaching, set KPIs, and create a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
 - Own the Sales Pipeline: Oversee the end-to-end sales funnel from lead generation to deal closure. Implement and manage CRM systems (Salesforce/Hubspot), forecasting, and performance tracking to ensure transparency and continuous improvement.
 - Build Strategic Partnerships: Act as the company’s commercial ambassador, engaging with corporates, fleet operators, property owners, and mobility providers. Collaborate closely with strategy, product, and partnerships teams to ensure market insights inform growth plans.
 - Local Activation: Drive local initiatives at charging stations, such as fleet connections, promotional partnerships with nearby businesses, or other revenue-generating opportunities.

Candidate Profile:
- Must be based in the Netherlands (remote working supported).
 - 10+ years’ experience in B2B sales, with senior-level expertise in complex negotiations and strategic deals.
 - Proven track record in hyper-growth environments or infrastructure-related industries (mobility, SaaS, EV infrastructure preferred).
 - Strategic thinker with data-driven decision-making skills and a hands-on execution mindset.
 - Deep understanding of sales processes, key account management, and go-to-market strategies.
 - Experience leading and scaling international sales teams across multiple countries. Ability to inspire, coach, and develop team members.
 - Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with experience engaging at C-Level.
 - Familiarity with CRM systems and reporting tools (Salesforce or Hubspot).
 - Fluency in English; additional European languages (Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Danish) are a plus.
 - International exposure and cultural awareness across European markets.
 - Passion for sustainability and the transition to electric mobility.

What’s on Offer:
- Competitive salary with performance-based incentives.
 - Stock option plan, supporting shared value creation.
 - Training and professional development budget (€3,000 per year).
 - Access to the company’s fully electric vehicle fleet (all charging expenses covered) for personal and business use.
 - Flexible working hours and remote work opportunities within the Netherlands.
 - Comprehensive benefits package including 29 days’ holiday, ‘mission days,’ daily lunches, and drinks at offices.
 - Opportunities for team events, yearly company trips abroad, and networking within a dynamic, international organisation.
