Director of Quantum Sales – Advanced Technology Solutions (DACH Region)

Location: Switzerland (Basel or Zurich)

Type: Full-Time

Candidates must have pitched complex quantum solutions, translating technical capabilities into business value at C-Level in order to be considered for this role. This role will suit an experienced technical sales professional to drive commercial adoption and research partnerships across the European market. This role requires deep technical expertise combined with proven enterprise sales success in complex scientific/hardware environments.



Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and execute sales strategies for both commercial enterprises and research institutions
  • Build relationships with quantum researchers, CTOs, and innovation leaders
  • Partner with customer technical teams on proof-of-concept projects
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to communicate market requirements
  • Represent company at scientific conferences, quantum summits, and technical forums
  • Support customers in securing research funding and grants
  • Drive technical evaluations and benchmarking activities
  • Understanding of government funding mechanisms for research (Horizon Europe, national quantum initiatives)



Essential Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree minimum in Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related quantitative field; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years selling into research institutions, including:
  • National laboratories and government research facilities
  • University research departments and academic consortiums
  • R&D divisions of Fortune 500 companies
  • Demonstrated success with technical proof-of-concepts and pilot programs


  • Proven experience selling complex scientific equipment, hardware systems, or research infrastructure (e.g., HPC systems, scientific instruments, semiconductor equipment)



Super Beneficial:


Experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)


  • Demonstrated ability to discuss and present complex quantum concepts including:
  • Quantum algorithms and their applications
  • Qubit architectures and quantum advantage
  • Quantum error correction and noise mitigation
  • Hybrid classical-quantum computing approaches
  • Track record of maintaining technical credibility with PhD-level researchers and scientists
