Title: Data Engineer

Location: Dubai

Brief Overview:

A leading retail group in the GCC is hiring a Data Engineer to support their ongoing Retail Transformation (SAP) initiative and data platform modernisation on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role will focus on building and maintaining data pipelines, transformations, and dashboards as part of a wider digital transformation.

Data Engineer – Requirements:

• Proven experience working on GCP / GBQ projects
• Strong technical experience across the following stack:
• Ingestions: Fivetran, Airbyte, Python, Event Streaming (Pub/Sub)
• Transformation: DBT (SQL)
• Orchestration: Airflow, Composer, Dataflow
• Data Management: Retool, Google Sheets
• Semantic Layer: LookML (SQL-like)
• BI: Looker
• Experience in Retail Transformation (SAP) projects
• Fluent English communication (written and spoken) is required
• Must be able to be on site 4 days per week
