Senior Process Engineer – Oslo (Contract)
Location: Oslo, Norway
Contract Type: 6-month initial contract (with scope for extension)
Start Date: January 2026
Leap29 are partnering with a leading engineering company in Oslo who are looking for an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. The role will support key oil & gas and energy transition projects, with involvement from concept through to detailed engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver process engineering work across all project phases
- Develop and review PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, and control philosophies
- Perform process simulations and calculations (HYSYS / Unisim / Aspen Plus)
- Specify and size major process equipment
- Ensure compliance with NORSOK, ISO, and international standards
- Contribute to HAZOP, HAZID, and LOPA reviews
- Support coordination with other engineering disciplines
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical or Process Engineering
- Minimum 10 years’ process design experience in oil & gas or energy sectors
- Strong technical knowledge of process simulation and modelling tools
- Familiarity with Norwegian standards and offshore project execution
- Excellent communication skills in English (Norwegian beneficial)
- Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary environment
Details:
- Location: Oslo (hybrid flexibility available)
- Duration: 6 months, with extension potential
- Rate: Competitive, depending on experience
