Senior Process Engineer – Oslo (Contract)

Location: Oslo, Norway

Contract Type: 6-month initial contract (with scope for extension)

Start Date: January 2026

Leap29 are partnering with a leading engineering company in Oslo who are looking for an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. The role will support key oil & gas and energy transition projects, with involvement from concept through to detailed engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver process engineering work across all project phases
• Develop and review PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, and control philosophies
• Perform process simulations and calculations (HYSYS / Unisim / Aspen Plus)
• Specify and size major process equipment
• Ensure compliance with NORSOK, ISO, and international standards
• Contribute to HAZOP, HAZID, and LOPA reviews
• Support coordination with other engineering disciplines
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical or Process Engineering
• Minimum 10 years’ process design experience in oil & gas or energy sectors
• Strong technical knowledge of process simulation and modelling tools
• Familiarity with Norwegian standards and offshore project execution
• Excellent communication skills in English (Norwegian beneficial)
• Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary environment
