Project Manager - Data Projects (Risk)

Ready to lead complex banking risk projects at the intersection of technology, governance, and business transformation? We are seeking a results-driven Technical Delivery Manager to drive successful outcomes for high-stakes data projects within major Risk domains (Market, Credit, Enterprise & Operational Risk).

What You’ll Do

• Take ownership of project delivery from start to finish, ensuring on-time, on-budget execution across multiple data initiatives within the banking sector.
• Cultivate strong client relationships, balancing strategic priorities and day-to-day operational needs.
• Lead, mentor, and coordinate multifunctional teams—business analysts, engineers, architects, and testers—to deliver outstanding results.
• Proactively manage risks, regulatory compliance, issues, and changes, ensuring robust documentation and audit readiness.
• Report insights and updates via compelling dashboards and presentations to clients and steering committees.
• Oversee hiring, resourcing, and budgeting to maintain robust project support and team capability.
• Uphold the highest quality and governance standards, guaranteeing all deliverables meet client, regulatory, and audit expectations.

What You Must Bring

• Minimum 12–15 years’ IT project delivery experience, with at least 5 years in banking, financial services, or consulting/vendor organizations.
• Hands-on delivery of data and analytics projects in Risk or Retail Banking domains.
• Deep knowledge and proven skill with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Power BI, Unity Catalog, Azure Data Lake (ADLS), and cloud-based data pipelines (technical expertise is non-negotiable).
• Mastery of project management principles, including scope, cost, risk, and change management.
• Expertise in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Confluence) and recognized certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile).
• Consulting experience (e.g., at a vendor or professional services firm) is a major plus: you bring client-facing agility, influence, and strategic insight to the table.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, with a focus on building consensus in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Highly organized, detail-driven, and adept at managing competing priorities under pressure.
