About the Company


Our client, a global tech-driven well recognized startup, operating at the intersection of hospitality, data, and innovation is currently hiring an Analytics Manager to overlook their internal data-oriented processes. With operations across multiple regions, they leverage advanced analytics, cloud technology, and automation to streamline operations and performance.


Position Overview


The Data Analytics Manager will oversee the central analytics function, ensuring consistent data definitions, governance, and analytics enablement across all business units. The role requires a balance of strategic vision, technical expertise, and hands-on analytics skills to support a lean, high-performing data team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of company-wide data standards, KPIs, and metrics.
  • Manage and maintain certified datasets and data models (SQL/dbt) used by multiple departments.
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies, including access controls and certification processes.
  • Implement data quality checks, alerting mechanisms, and version control for dashboards and analytics assets.
  • Promote self-service analytics by curating reusable datasets and training functional analysts.
  • Partner with stakeholders across marketing, operations, finance, and product to ensure alignment on data strategy.
  • Drive cost and performance optimization across BI platforms and analytics tools.
  • Manage and mentor a team of data professionals.
  • Work hands-on with senior leadership on consumer analytics, generating insights and business recommendations.
  • Oversee change management workflows related to metrics and dashboards.


Requirements

  • 6–10 years of professional experience in data analytics, analytics engineering, or BI operations.
  • Proven background in analytics leadership or COE management within fast-paced environments (startups or mid-sized firms preferred).
  • Strong expertise in SQL and data modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with modern data stack tools such as:
  • Cloud Data Warehouses: Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift
  • Transformation Tools: dbt, Airflow
  • BI Tools: Looker, Power BI, Tableau
  • Experience with data governance frameworks, including access control and dataset certification.
  • Strong understanding of data documentation, catalogs, and semantic layers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work hands-on with large datasets in lean team environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — ability to simplify complex data topics for non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop small teams of analysts or data scientists.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred).


Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to consumer or operations analytics.
  • Prior experience in startups or high-growth environments managing large-scale data workloads.
  • Familiarity with data quality monitoring tools and BI performance optimization.
  • Understanding of forecasting or demand modeling projects.
  • Short notice period (1 month or less).
