Company Description
Thirteenth Month is a small but mighty team comprised of both junior and veteran game developers working together to create space and opportunity during these increasingly complicated times.
We are currently in development of our debut project, YOU DO NOT EXIST Chapter 1 and are preparing the studio for investment/publishing phase.
Role Description
This is a remote volunteer position for a Technical Gameplay Programmer (Unity). In this role, you will collaborate with developers and designers to implement and refine gameplay mechanics, write clean and effective code, and debug and optimize projects. Additionally, you will contribute to the overall game design by suggesting improvements to enhance player experience.
We are entering a stage where we plan on experimenting/workshopping with planned features.
Qualifications
- Experience with combat-oriented gameplay and designing complex NPC behavior is a huge plus!
- Experience with Unity.
- Understanding of and enthusiasm for Game Design principles.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, remote environment.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.
- An interest in contributing to independent game development and storytelling projects.
