Key Deliverables
- You will be responsible to provide first line support for network (edge switches), passive cabling (ethernet and fiber) and for the CCTV system.
- Provide first line support to all user enquiries and requests including factory regular visit and work.
- You will be responsible for supporting, testing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- You will be responsible to provide on-call support to all users of OCI, whenever needed.
- Interact with third party for maintenance work.
- You will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and support for OCI designated PCs, printers and Industrial PCs.
- Assist in setting up and running the IS infrastructure in conference and Board rooms.
- Installation of PCs, PC hardware components, printers and other PC peripherals.
- Responds to users inquires and requests for assistance with all PC related problems/queries.
- Assist in maintaining a library of all original software, utilities and manuals.
- Assist in setting-up/modification of e-mail accounts for users.
- Assist in configuring OCI owned smart phones and tablets.
- Ensure installation of new and upgraded version of application software on new and existing PC hardware.
- Install anti-virus software and ensure updates are applied.
- Raise requisitions for IS software requirements, hardware requirements, peripherals and other needs including disposal.
- Assist to keep stock of hardware spares.
- Assist in maintaining a register for all in-and-out IS assets.
- You will be responsible for handling and managing the basic configuration of switches.
- You will be responsible for update and maintaining regular security patches on all user PCs.
- Arrange and conduct user awareness training sessions for various IS applications.
- Assist in formulating continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency of processes and reduction of costs.
Job Profile:
- Diploma in Computer Science/ Information Technology.
- IT certification preferred (ITIL/ CCNA).
- Excellent bilingual communication skills (Arabic and English)
- Ability to communicate technical information to business and non-business users.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures, and techniques.
- Ability to identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operational problems.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Relationship management skills.
- Ability to take timely actions and decisions.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the latest IT and software trends
- Strong customer service ethos.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to quickly establish good working relationships with staff and customers.
- Willingness to work odd hours.
- 3+ years of experience in related industries.
- Good understanding of the overall IT operations is essential.
