About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Android and iOS mobile app Developer to design, develop, and enhance our mobile application for airline passengers. We are seeking an engineer who is willing to tackle problems with innovative ideas and deliver high-quality technical implementations. In this role, you will play a key part in empowering passengers worldwide to claim and protect their rights. You will lead and shape the technical direction of our mobile development efforts, contribute innovative ideas for modernization, and grow into a leadership position within the engineering team.

This role reports directly to the Head of IT and has a dotted-line reporting relationship to the CEO.

What You Bring:

• Several years of professional experience in mobile app development, preferably on apps with a large user base, with proven successes in the field.
• Strong knowledge of Swift (iOS) and Kotlin/Java (Android).
• Experience with Flutter, React Native, or another cross-platform framework is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with mobile design principles, UI/UX guidelines, and responsive layouts.
• Experience integrating APIs, Firebase, push notifications, and analytics tools.
• Experience with continuous integration and delivery with Google Play Services APIs, Firebase APIs, Google Maps APIs, or other external API services (desirable).
• Strong understanding of architectural patterns and the ability to apply them in complex projects to ensure scalability and maintainability.
• Knowledgeable in aspects of the mobile development lifecycle, including application development, application structure, device and operating system APIs, debugging, performance, security, and deployment.
• Utilization and integration of mobile features like Push Notifications, Background Loading, Offline Content Storage, etc.
• Experience in material design customizations and animations.
• Proficiency in Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Good understanding of mobile security best practices.
• Previous experience deploying apps to App Store and Google Play.

Nice to Have

• Experience with backend technologies (Node.js, Python, Firebase, etc.).
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks for mobile apps.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience in LegalTech, TravelTech, Airlines & Aviation, and/or Travel Arrangements industries.
• Fluency in English.
• Knowledge of Ukrainian or Russian would be beneficial for cooperation with our broader technical team, but it is not a must-have requirement.

What You Will Do:

As a Mobile App Developer, you will design, build, and maintain high-quality mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms. You’ll collaborate closely with our product, design, and backend teams to develop user-friendly, scalable, and performant apps that align with our business goals.

• LEAD the efforts of designing, developing, and refining our mobile applications for iOS and Android, dedicated to airline passengers using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Design and develop architecture and technical design for mobile applications, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and a high-quality user experience for passengers worldwide.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using modern frameworks (e.g., Swift, Kotlin, or cross-platform technologies like Flutter or React Native).
• Manage the full lifecycle of app development — from concept to deployment and maintenance on App Store and Google Play.
• Integrate apps with RESTful APIs, third-party SDKs, and backend services.
• Maintain and improve our app infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply modern programming patterns (e.g., MVC, MVVM) and leverage development frameworks and tools (e.g., Declarative UI, Angular, React).
• Implement analytics in all aspects of the application and analyze results.
• Coordinate app releases.
• Care about writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Create a clear and concise technical work breakdown that can be easily understood and executed by any team member, regardless of their level of seniority.
• Identify system bottlenecks, reduce build times, improve modularization, and lead structural improvements.
• Making key technical decisions, taking into account business requirements and technical conditions of the project.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure best practices in mobile app architecture.
• Optimize applications for performance, usability, and scalability.
