As part of the Spend & Loyalty team, you'll be building and maintaining the systems that power virtual cards and the rewards engine at Zip. This is a business-critical area, focusing on product innovation that directly impacts our customers' financial well-being.

What You'll Own

  • Build and maintain the Spend and Loyalty systems, including virtual cards and the rewards engine.
  • Own the development lifecycle: design, test, deploy, and support rock solid code.
  • Manage a backlog of features, bugs, and technical debt, effectively prioritising to deliver value.
  • Perform effective code reviews and lead the development of high-quality software.
  • Lead design and architectural changes to improve performance and realiability of our Rewards system.

What You'll Bring To The Team

  • Demonstrated expertise in Kotlin and Spring Boot.
  • Proficiency in microservice and event-based designs, utilising Kafka.
  • Experience with relational databases like SQL Server, Oracle, or Postgres.
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud services (AWS), Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • An ability to coach and mentor others, driving technical excellence and code quality.
  • A mindset that embraces AI and new tools to adapt, learn, and grow.
