Essential Responsibilities, Accountabilities & Results
- Manage the delivery of all artworks to print for designated MDLZ business unit portfolios across the Region
- Manage all packaging artwork changes for nominated portfolio overseeing artwork, pre-press management & print quality standards
- Management of packaging artwork approvals for designated portfolios through Dragonfly
- Artwork Approval Management, including workflow creation, file upload, approval cycle monitoring & progress management and alterations feedback to the production studios
- Effective and efficient briefing to the artwork/pre-press production team to ensure delivery of technical excellence in artwork/pre-press file construction, execution and supply
- Engagement with key stakeholders: Design Agencies, Design Ops, PCM, Regulatory, BDM, RD&Q, Marketing, Print Suppliers
- Work as a member of the D2S team to ensure the provision of an industry leading artwork and pre-press service through close collaboration with design partners to ensure effective translation of the design vision into print and production reality
- Sales sample mock-up management.
- Press pass attendance, support and sign off where required
- Ensure engagement and provision of ‘Artwork to Print Management’ in conjunction with the D2S category lead for key projects
- Ensure effective collaboration with design & business partnering teams, whilst keeping a close relationship with the portfolio marketing teams, managing expectations of colour management and timelines
- Attend regular update meetings with key stakeholders
Project Management
- Provide D2S services to MDLZ clients against agreed deliverables
- Act as primary point of contact for all artwork, pre-press and print queries for MDLZ & production studios
- Manage artwork, pre-press & print related communications, acting as the ‘hub’ for design to print management, ensuring colour management and technical accountability for all projects
- Manage status updates ensuring stakeholders are always fully aware of project status
- Attend project meetings for nominated projects, with appropriate design or business partner representation as
required - Agree schedule for approval of artwork, pre-press, proofs and file delivery
- Oversee production and approval to time of services against PCM’s schedule to enable the effective delivery of
projects
Project management via MYSGS5 & Dragonfly, including:
- Quotations
- Raising Jobs
- Artwork & pre-press routing/Approval
- Tracking project costs
- Closure of jobs for completed work
- Invoicing
Briefing
- Act as first point of contact for design to print queries during initial briefings
- Produce artwork brief complete with all relevant information required to commence artwork production
Consultancy
- Provide general design to print consultancy to all key stakeholders and engage with design agencies or nominee as required for appraisal of agency concepts and proposals. Assistance in driving design agency cost efficiencies by agreeing start and stop points for agency engagement as per the D2S process. Consultation on brand alignment and guardianship of key equities
Communications
- Provide input and technical insight to design partners in the development of design proposals
- Attend design presentations with the Brand Manager and design teams for major projects as appropriate
Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements
This position requires the following knowledge and skills:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working within commercial design and artwork environments.
• Understanding of packaging print processes and technology.
• Understanding of packaging pre-press requirements and key drivers.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, confident communicating with all levels of personnel.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel across Europe.
• High level of accountability with a focused, accurate and timely approach to work.
