A long-established Irish, family-run organisation is entering an exciting new digital growth phase. Having built a strong and profitable services business over the past 20 years, the company launched its SaaS division six years ago, transforming Accounts Payable automation for clients across Ireland and the UK.


Now embarking on a major scale-up programme, the business is developing a next-generation platform and seeking an experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead its technology vision, drive scaling, and join the senior leadership team as its first dedicated technologist.


The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, the CTO will take full ownership of the digital engineering function and play a pivotal role in achieving the company’s ambitious growth/ scalability into the US market.

This is a highly impactful leadership role, combining strategic and hands-on technical guidance. The successful candidate will lead the rollout of the next-generation SaaS product, oversee customer migrations, embed AI/ML capabilities, and ensure readiness for international expansion, including the US market.


You will modernise engineering practices, drive innovation, and foster a collaborative, people-first culture across a close-knit team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver the technology strategy for the new SaaS platform rollout.
  • Provide architectural and engineering leadership to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable products.
  • Champion AI/ML adoption and build team confidence in emerging technologies.
  • Oversee technical readiness for new international markets and compliance standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team (~12 people).
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Sales, and Marketing to align technology with commercial goals.
  • Serve as a senior member of the leadership team, contributing to group-level strategy.


Ideal Profile

  • Proven SaaS leadership experience, ideally within FinTech, Payments, or Accounting Automation.
  • Track record scaling small a SME SaaS product into the US Market.
  • Hands-on technical grounding, a former engineer with strong technical understanding.
  • Experience leading teams through platform modernisation and AI adoption.
  • Exposure to international (ideally US) market expansion.
  • Empathetic, collaborative leader with excellent communication and stakeholder skills.
  • Cultural alignment with core values of passion, trust, and ownership.

Remuneration & Benefits

  • Base salary: €120,000 - €130 DOE
  • Bonus: 20% (based on personal and company performance)

Location & Working Setup

  • HQ: Dublin
