Job Description:

Our client, a leading organisation in the logistics and ecommerce sector, is seeking a skilled .NET Developer to join a high-performing development team. This is a permanent role offering the opportunity to work on impactful systems across web, desktop, and cloud platforms.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modern web and desktop applications using .NET technologies.
• Develop scalable and secure solutions leveraging Azure cloud services.
• Collaborate with technical teams and project stakeholders on architectural decisions and specifications.
• Write and maintain automated tests to support high-quality code.
• Conduct code reviews and participate in ongoing improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to sprint planning and estimation processes.
• Provide Level 2 support for live applications on a rotational basis.

Experience Required

• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in full-stack software development.
• Proficient in:
• C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core/.NET Framework, Entity Framework, LINQ.
• Front-end technologies including Angular (v2+), JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.
• RESTful API development and integration.
• Azure services such as App Services, Functions, Identity, and Key Vault.
• Database management with SQL Server or equivalent RDBMS.
• Experience with source control systems (Git, Azure DevOps Repos, or TFS).
• Familiar with continuous integration/deployment using Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices following OWASP standards.
• Capable of performance monitoring and optimisation.

Desirable Skills

• Previous exposure to sectors such as logistics, ecommerce, or enterprise software solutions.
• Experience building multi-tenant applications.
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools like Bicep or similar.
• Knowledge of caching technologies (e.g. Redis).
• Understanding of messaging platforms such as Azure Service Bus or RabbitMQ.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
