Team: Alpha Intelligence & Tasks | Location: Hybrid / Remote (Latvia preferred)
About Alpha
Our vision is simple —
a world where data entry is automated, quality and efficiency rise, and Alpha insights assist decision-making.
We build intelligent products that turn complex reinsurance documents into structured data and actionable insights.
We don’t sell buzzwords. We build tools that actually work.
About the Role — Find the Logic Behind the Story
We’re looking for a Technical Business Analyst who treats analysis as investigation.
Someone who sees inconsistencies as clues, not annoyances.
Someone who can take a tangled business idea and make it precise, logical, and ready for development.
You won’t be gathering notes — you’ll be uncovering truth, structuring logic, and making sure what reaches the team genuinely adds value.
Who You Are
You’re a detective at heart.
You enjoy digging into details, spotting contradictions, and connecting clues until the full picture becomes clear.
You don’t take things at face value — you question, verify, and make logic airtight.
You’re the rational bridge between business and tech.
You help both sides speak the same language and keep discussions grounded in facts, not assumptions.
You’re a dedicated partner to your technical team.
You work side-by-side with engineers and QAs, believing that your success is their success and providing them with the clarity they need to build great software.
You filter before you write.
You assess which ideas deserve to reach development and which need to go back for re-thinking.
You care about precision.
User Stories with full Acceptance Criteria, negative scenarios, clear links to business logic — that’s your natural way of thinking.
You’re curious by default.
You understand how systems connect — APIs, JSON, automation — and you like figuring out why something works the way it does.
Requirements
Must-Have
· 3 + years as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst in a software-product environment.
· Proven experience writing clear, detailed User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.
· Strong critical-thinking and validation skills — you question, verify, and challenge unclear or low-value requirements.
· Ability to translate complex logic into clear visual flows and mock-ups (BPMN, UML, Figma or similar).
· Solid understanding of the agile software development lifecycle (SDLC), from idea to deployment.
· Solid understanding of how systems interact — APIs, JSON data structures, and integrations.
· Understanding of how releases and environments work (DEV / TEST / UAT / PROD) and how changes move through the pipeline.
· Excellent written and spoken English.
Nice to Have
- A genuine interest in AI/ML. We don’t expect you to be an expert — we expect you to be excited to become one.
- Basic SQL knowledge for data checking.
- Background in FinTech, InsurTech, or document-heavy domains.
- Experience guiding less technical colleagues.
Why This Role Matters
You’ll help turn Alpha’s technology into something solid, clear, and scalable.
You’ll bring reasoning where others see requests, and logic where others see chaos.
Your work will make the product smarter, faster, and more stable.
This role is also a natural path toward Product Ownership within the Alpha Suite — for someone who proves they can connect business vision with technical reality.
What We Offer
- A competitive salary: Ranging from €2800 to €4000 Gross per month, based on your skills and experience.
- Real growth opportunities: A clear path to Product Ownership, supported by mentorship and funded certification opportunities.
- A culture of trust and flexibility: We offer flexible working hours and hybrid work options. We care about results, not time spent at your desk.
- Comprehensive benefits: Health insurance, an office stocked with fresh fruit & great coffee, and fun team events.
Our Process
- Introductory call — short alignment.
- Main interview — discussion of your analytical approach.
- Practical task (a few hours) — user stories & workflow exercise.
- Final talk with the team.
