About Inbest

Inbest is a software platform that identifies households with unclaimed welfare benefits and supports them on their benefits applications. We partner with over 100 organisations across the UK including government agencies, financial institutions and money management apps. Each week, over 30,000 customers use our Benefits Calculator to find additional income and discounts of £5,000 per year.

We are a team of experienced professionals in the Financial Services industry, operating a self-funded, product-focused, employee-owned, and profitable startup. Our structure allows us the freedom and flexibility to focus on the products and features we are passionate about. Our primary goal is to improve the financial well-being and resilience of UK households by helping them manage and access the benefits they are entitled to.

This is a unique opportunity to join our team during a period of rapid growth. You will see the active users of the products you help build increase from several hundred thousand to millions. Additionally, you will have the chance to be part of launching new products and leading our platform's expansion.

The role

We’re looking for a front-end developer (junior to mid-level) who enjoys creating clean, intuitive, and user-friendly web applications. You don’t need to be a designer, but you should appreciate what makes a good interface and recognise when something feels off. Our tech stack: React, Node.js, MongoDB, Docker, Google Cloud, and Python for data pipelines.

You’ll work closely with our CTO and Product Manager to enhance our core platform, shape new user experiences, and ensure consistency across our products. There’s also room to explore full-stack tasks if you’re interested.

Location

This role is based in Vilnius, and applicants should already be located in or able to stay in the area. We operate remotely most of the time, but you’ll be expected to spend part of the year working with the team in Vilnius for in-person collaboration and company events.

What you’ll do

  • Build and maintain responsive, accessible front-end components and pages.
  • Work with the product team to turn requirements into polished interfaces.
  • Identify and improve usability issues or inefficient design patterns.
  • Help refine our component library and ensure design consistency.
  • Contribute to front-end testing and performance optimisation.
  • Optionally, work across the stack when needed.

What we’re looking for

  • A degree in a university programme related to front-end development, computer science, or a similar product-focused field.
  • Strong experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • A good sense for usability, clarity, and interaction flow.
  • Understanding of web fundamentals: performance, accessibility, responsive design.
  • Comfortable working with APIs and managing state in front-end apps.
  • Collaborative, self-motivated, and curious to learn.
  • Something you’ve built or shipped that shows your attention to detail.

Nice to have: experience with design tools like Figma, testing frameworks (Playwright, React Testing Library), or familiarity with Node.js and Docker.

What we offer

  • Salary between €2,000 and €4,000 gross/month depending on experience.
  • Meaningful equity in the company - you will have a stake in the future success of Inbest.
  • Join our incredible paid annual offsites. In the past, we've enjoyed surfing in Bali, kitesurfing in the Red Sea in Egypt, and sailing across the Andaman Sea in Thailand.
  • Flexible holiday policy and remote working - you are welcome to work anywhere in the world, from sunny beaches in Bali to busy streets in NYC or Rio de Janeiro.
