We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our cloud infrastructure engineering team.
You will manage both cloud and on-premise network environments, focusing on advanced network protocols and security configurations. Your role includes collaboration across time zones with a 2-hour overlap with the West US team. This position offers an opportunity to apply your expertise in global network architecture and automation to enhance network performance and reliability. Responsibilities
- Manage and configure Palo Alto network security platforms including advanced troubleshooting and policy management
- Implement and optimize dynamic network protocols such as BGP, EVPN, and VXLAN across multi-site environments
- Design and maintain global network architectures connecting branch offices, data centers, and cloud service providers
- Develop and enhance network automation and deployment pipelines using tools like Ansible and Terraform
- Ensure network security through firewall configuration, VPN setup, and intrusion detection and prevention
- Lead incident response and disaster recovery efforts to maintain network availability and integrity
- Participate in team meetings with a 2-hour shift overlap with West US time zone
- Collaborate with cloud engineers to integrate network solutions across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments
- Document network configurations, policies, and procedures comprehensively
- Identify and resolve network performance issues to improve throughput and reduce latency
- Lead network projects from planning through successful implementation
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for network infrastructure and security
- Monitor network health and proactively address potential outages or vulnerabilities
- Assist in capacity planning and scalability assessments for network growth
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud operations and network engineering
- Extensive experience with Palo Alto network security platforms and configurations
- Proficiency in dynamic network protocols, including BGP, EVPN, and VXLAN
- Strong background in global network architecture involving data centers and cloud providers
- Knowledge of cloud networking in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments
- Experience with network automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform
- Solid understanding of network security best practices, including firewall and VPN management
- Proven ability to lead network projects and manage documentation
- Experience in incident management and disaster recovery processes
- Fluent English communication skills at a professional working level
Nice to have
- Certifications in network security or cloud technologies
- Experience with intrusion detection and prevention systems
- Background in scripting for network automation
- Familiarity with vulnerability management tools
- Knowledge of multi-cloud network integration

Salary range €3.2K-€4.9K gross, based on your experience and interview results.
