Software-Defined Networking (SDN) Engineer

We are currently seeking a Senior SDN & Micro-Segmentation Expert (VMware NSX) to play a key role in ensuring the security, reliability and optimisation of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and micro-segmentation (firewalling) services, primarily based on Broadcom VMware NSX for a prestigious European Institution in Luxembourg. 🔍🇪🇺

🖥️ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide expert-level technical assistance on SDN and micro-segmentation architectures (VMware NSX);
• Design, implement, and maintain SDN and firewalling components and related governance frameworks;
• Support the definition of strategy and roadmap for SDN and firewalling services;
• Supervise and coordinate with the managed service provider (COSMOS) to ensure SLA and policy compliance;
• Conduct performance reviews, audits, and continuous optimisation of SDN/firewalling environments;
• Participate in project planning, documentation, and stakeholder coordination;
• Promote automation, innovation, and service improvement across the infrastructure ecosystem.

📝 REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in SDN and micro-segmentation design/management within large-scale infrastructures;
• Strong hands-on experience with Broadcom VMware NSX;
• At least 3 years working with AWS, Azure or GCP networking;
• Certifications such as VMware Certified Professional - Network Virtualization (VCP-NV) or AWS/Azure/GCP Advanced Networking;
• Familiarity with firewalling governance, automation and DevSecOps principles;
• Project Management certification (PM² Agile or equivalent) is a plus;
• University degree in Computer Science or relevant fields;
• Fluency in English (C1) and French (B2);
• Ability to work in multicultural and international settings.

This is a hybrid role, requiring on-site presence at the Luxembourg office 1/2 days per week. 📍
