For our office in Iasi, Romania we are looking for someone who can help us bring our visions to life as a:

Java Backend Developer

Responsibilities

• Work in an Agile (Kanban/Scrum) team, continuously delivering new functionality
• Backend development with Java 21+ and Spring Boot (using reactive programming paradigm)
• Provid REST APIs for frontend applications and booking systems (API driven development)
• Design, build, automate, deploy and maintain highly available, robust and secure, client-facing wealth management applications in different cloud environments
• Contribute to the implementation of DevOps concepts such as cloud deployment automation
• Participate in code reviews and be open to close cooperation
• Take ownership of the code, tech stack and applications throughout the full life cycle

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of Java and the JVM
• Knowledge of building microservice-based backends using Java and Spring Boot
• TDD is not a buzzword for you, you write your tests first
• Knowledge of reactive programming
• Knowledge of relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Basic knowledge about using Linux systems and Bash scripting
• Fluency in English (German language skills are a plus)
• Team spirit – you like working with people and people like working with you
• A “can do” attitude with the ability to getting things done (try to be or evolve into a quick learner and take the opportunities to be adapter of new frameworks and technologies)
• Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, Kibana and messaging systems (ActiveMQ, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, etc.) are a plus
• Experience in areas of finance, wealth management and knowledge of financial instruments are a plus
