About the Role:

We are seeking a highly analytical Market Analyst to join our growing optimization team, supporting the Metals and Mining trading activities. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven professional with a strong foundation in quantitative analysis, macro and micro economic analysis, who aspires to strengthen its knowledge of the metals and mining global market dynamics by working closely with the company’s most experienced senior traders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support trading, origination, and business development teams with robust pricing models, fundamental analysis, and strategic insights.
• Collaborate closely with traders to analyse market data, monitor developments, and identify trading opportunities.
• Leverage data-driven insights to assist in optimizing trading strategies.
• Build and enhance knowledge systems that support decision-making across the trading desk.
• Identify and develop new markets to increase portfolio optionality, capability, and revenue streams.

Candidate Profile:

• 2-7 years of relevant experience within the metals and mining space in quantitative analytics, macro and micro economic analysis, management of supply and demand models, and company financial analysis.
• Strong academic background in quantitative fields such as statistics and econometrics.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and other tools required for data modelling and analysis.
• Experience in navigating Bloomberg and Reuters terminals.
• Solid understanding of metals and mining markets.
• Fluent in English
• Proactive, intellectually curious, and collaborative.
