Role And Responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll & HR Coordinator to process, oversee and manage payroll operations across the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with relevant laws and internal policies, and leading process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
In addition, the Payroll & HR Coordinator will contribute to HR development initiatives and participate in general HR projects, supporting the continuous improvement of HR processes, employee experience, and organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for managing Payroll outsourcing vendors
- Manage and oversee payroll processes in collaboration with external vendors
- Ensure accurate data input from HR, Finance, and other departments
- Act as subject matter expert on payroll systems, processes, and compliance
- Reconcile payroll data and manage reporting
- Drive system upgrades, process improvements and automation
- Maintain payroll records, benefits, time-off tracking, and documentation
- Handle employee queries related to payroll and benefits
- Support and lead HR projects
- Assist with audits and external reporting
- Strong focus on identify and implement process improvements and increase accuracy and efficiency
- HR and Payroll related program and project implementation and administration
To be successful in this role we believe that you have
Education
- Degree or Certification in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Payroll or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist (minimum three years) or similar role.
- Experience with matrix organisations
- Experience with implementing and managing projects and processes
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance standards.
- Experience of HR and preferably Finance
- Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., ADP, SAP, Workday, Oracle).
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High standard of accuracy, an attention to details and excellent follow-up skills as well as strong execution ability.
- Excellent ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent in Swedish and English
- Strong understanding of payroll and tax laws.
