We’re on the lookout for a Chief Compliance Officer who will shape and execute the compliance strategy of EXMO.com.
You’ll oversee all compliance operations — from AML/KYC and transaction monitoring to licensing and regulatory relationships in multiple jurisdictions. One of the current strategic priorities will be supporting our new licensing initiatives, including the El Salvador license.

Key Responsibilities
Compliance Strategy & Leadership
- Lead and inspire a team of 10+ AML, KYC, and Compliance specialists, ensuring their growth, engagement, and high performance.
- Act as a key advisor to the executive team, promoting a culture of compliance and ethical business conduct.
- Serve as the main contact point for regulators and FIUs across multiple jurisdictions.
- Oversee licensing and registration processes in collaboration with legal partners (including El Salvador).
Risk Management & Oversight
- Conduct risk assessments, gap analyses, and internal audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Supervise the review and enhancement of AML/CTF and sanctions frameworks.
- Oversee onboarding, EDD, and KYC processes with a risk-based and data-driven approach.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of suspicious activity and other regulatory submissions.
- Collaborate closely with Legal, Finance, Product, and Operations to maintain regulatory alignment across the company.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience as Chief Compliance Officer / Head of Compliance / MLRO in a regulated financial or crypto institution.
- Deep understanding of AML/CTF frameworks, FATF guidelines, and international licensing processes.
- Demonstrated experience in managing regulator relationships and leading cross-border compliance teams.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Degree in Law, Finance, Business, or related field.
- Fluent English is required, Spanish is highly desirable.
