Responsibilities
- Design and implement network configurations to support customer and organizational needs.
- Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Perform proactive troubleshooting and respond quickly to network malfunctions.
- Maintain network security systems to protect data, software, and hardware components.
- Collaborate with IT teams to facilitate seamless integration of network resources.
- Upgrade network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases and standards.
- Document network designs, topologies, and configuration settings thoroughly for future reference.
- Implement and manage VPN, firewall, and various security appliances to ensure secure connectivity.
- Analyze and resolve complex technical issues related to network failures.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to manage network services and contracts.
- Conduct network performance assessments and make recommendations for improvement.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior network staff and other teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required.
- Proven work experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar networking role.
- Proficiency with networking technologies, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware components.
- Experience with network security protocols, implementations, and diagnostics tools.
- Quick problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to network issues.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
