Job Description

As a Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining essential network systems within an organization. You will be responsible for creating reliable and high-performance networks, ensuring optimal connectivity and security. Your expertise will help in troubleshooting any arising issues, configuring routers and switches, and maintaining network integrity by implementing the best practices. An acute attention to detail, coupled with a problem-solving mindset, is essential. This role requires collaboration across departments to ensure seamless integration of new technologies with existing systems. Your efforts directly contribute to enhancing our technical infrastructure and improving the performance and capability of our network solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement network configurations to support customer and organizational needs.
• Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Perform proactive troubleshooting and respond quickly to network malfunctions.
• Maintain network security systems to protect data, software, and hardware components.
• Collaborate with IT teams to facilitate seamless integration of network resources.
• Upgrade network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases and standards.
• Document network designs, topologies, and configuration settings thoroughly for future reference.
• Implement and manage VPN, firewall, and various security appliances to ensure secure connectivity.
• Analyze and resolve complex technical issues related to network failures.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers to manage network services and contracts.
• Conduct network performance assessments and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required.
• Proven work experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar networking role.
• Proficiency with networking technologies, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware components.
• Experience with network security protocols, implementations, and diagnostics tools.
• Quick problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to network issues.
