Join us at Paramount Commerce, where we not only follow fintech trends but shape them.
Position Overview
We're looking for a Director of FP&A who can combine financial rigor with strategic insight—someone comfortable rolling up their sleeves in modelling tools, while also influencing C-level decisions and partnering cross-functionally to drive growth, efficiency, and profitability.
Reporting to the CFO, you will lead our planning, forecasting, performance and budgeting processes, building the models and providing the insights that guide our business. This role is both strategic and hands-on, responsible for building scalable processes, developing financial models, and providing actionable insights to drive business decisions. You'll serve as a key business partner to the executive team, product, and operations leaders, shaping the company's long-term financial strategy.
What You'll Do
Strategic Planning & Forecasting
- Lead the company-wide budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
- Develop and maintain dynamic financial models for revenue, margin, operating expenses, and cash flow
- Partner with the CFO to support board reporting and shareholder updates
- Work closely with department heads (Product, Growth, Operations, Technology, People) to align financial targets with operational plans
- Provide data-driven insights into business performance, customer economics, and unit-level profitability
- Translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable recommendations for non-financial leaders
- Own monthly/quarterly management reporting, variance analysis, and KPI dashboards
- Drive automation and improvement of FP&A tools and processes
- Develop forward-looking analyses on pricing, ROI, and market expansion opportunities
- Build, mentor, and scale a small FP&A team as the organization grows. Implement best practices for financial governance, planning cadence, and scenario modeling
- Partner with Accounting to ensure accuracy and consistency between financial planning and actuals
- A Seasoned Finance Leader: You have 8+ years of progressive finance experience, with a proven track record of leading an FP&A function for at least 3 of those years
- A Tech-Industry Insider: You speak the language of high-growth technology companies, with preferred experience in Fintech or SaaS environments
- The Financial Architect: You are an expert at your craft. Building complex financial models, managing a P&L, and forecasting cash flow are second nature to you
- A Data & Systems Maven: You move fluidly between advanced spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) and sophisticated software, with familiarity in BI tools (like Looker) and FP&A systems (like Planful)
- A Strategic Operator: You connect the dots between data and decisions. You can think at a high level while diving deep into the numbers to drive operational improvements
- An Influential Communicator: You excel at translating complex financial information into clear, compelling narratives for an executive audience
- Academically Grounded: You hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; an MBA or CFA is a plus
- Competitive salary
- Generous Vacation & Summer Fridays
- Health & Dental Benefits
- Wellness Spending Account
- Retirement savings matching plan
- Hybrid work (Thursdays in office)
- Birthday Day Off
- Quarterly Socials
- Volunteer Days to give back to our community
- Parental leave top up program
