Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer on our team, you will play a crucial role in building high-quality web services and backend systems. This includes the entire development lifecycle:
- Delivery of robust, well-documented systems that meet product requirements.
- Hands-on coding for 80-95% of your time.
- Engagement in peer reviews for estimates, design, and code to ensure quality.
- Collaboration across teams to deliver impactful, scalable solutions.
- Partnering with Product Management and teams across Intuit to drive real-world results.
- Contributing to an Agile development environment with methodologies like SCRUM or Kanban.

Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience:
- 2+ years of experience developing web services or system applications.
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming languages such as Java/J2EE or Functional Programming languages like JavaScript/React.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience working with REST or GraphQL APIs.
- Familiarity with Unit Testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- A strong grasp of software engineering fundamentals with a history of delivering quality software.
- Agile mindset, with experience in methodologies like SCRUM, Extreme Programming, or similar.
- Self-motivated and able to make decisions independently.
- A positive, problem-solving attitude with a strong desire to grow.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent collaboration and partnership skills, focused on team success.
