POSITION PURPOSE: Software Developer (.NET/C#)
This is not a remote position. Position is located in Boise, ID at the Agri Beef corporate headquarters.
As a Software Developer at Agri Beef, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing and supporting our system designed to streamline the process of receiving cattle, processing them into high-quality beef products, and distributing these products directly to consumers or to our retail and food service customers. Collaborating with multiple sites across the Pacific Northwest, your work will contribute to the seamless operation of our business. We welcome candidates with strong leadership and software development skills and a willingness to learn and develop using Progress and Open Edge technologies.

As a Software Developer at Agri Beef, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing and supporting our system designed to streamline the process of receiving cattle, processing them into high-quality beef products, and distributing these products directly to consumers or to our retail and food service customers. Collaborating with multiple sites across the Pacific Northwest, your work will contribute to the seamless operation of our business. We welcome candidates with strong leadership and software development skills and a willingness to learn and develop using Progress and Open Edge technologies.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance applications using C#, .NET, and related frameworks to support business-critical systems.
- Implement object-oriented design principles and best practices to produce clean, maintainable, and reusable code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, translate them into technical solutions and lead areas of system improvement.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure smooth operation of the system.
- Implement best practices for software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our software products.
- Provide technical support and assistance to end-users as needed.
- Proficiency in C# and the .NET framework.
- Strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with continuous delivery DevOps technical practices.
- Leadership experience leading a team of developers.
- Experience with database systems such as SQL Server.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment independently and effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in software development, with at least 7 years of experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work on complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
