About the Role : The role requires a highly independent and creative UX/UI Designer to support the transformation of legacy applications into modern Appian-based experiences. This role requires a strategic thinker who can solve complex UX challenges, refine user journeys, and deliver high-quality designs aligned with enterprise standards—without constant oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end UX/UI design for operational and customer-facing applications migrating to Appian
  • Audit legacy applications to identify usability gaps and improvement opportunities
  • Translate business requirements into intuitive, scalable design solutions
  • Ensure compliance with design standards while solving UX problems creatively
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to drive design excellence
  • Produce wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity visuals
  • Conduct usability testing, accessibility and iterate based on feedback
  • Champion user-centered design throughout the project lifecycle

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 5+ years of UX/UI design experience in enterprise or B2B environments
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating UX problem-solving and UI craftsmanship
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage design deliverables autonomously
  • Experience designing for Appian or similar low-code platforms
  • Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, MS Whiteboard, or equivalent tools
  • Familiarity with JIRA for task tracking and Confluence for documentation
  • Solid grasp of design systems, accessibility standards, and responsive design
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Comfortable working onsite in a fast-paced environment


Bonus Skills

  • Familiarity with legacy system modernization
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JS) for better collaboration with developers
