The Opportunity

As Head of Data & AI, you’ll be the strategic architect and hands-on leader responsible for transforming data into a powerful business asset. You’ll define the data vision, build robust infrastructure, and develop AI/ML solutions that solve real business problems across credit risk, operations, and customer experience. This senior leadership role combines strategic thinking with technical execution. You’ll work at the intersection of technology, risk, and business strategy, translating complex data challenges into solutions that deliver measurable value.

What You’ll Build & Lead

• Data & AI Strategy – Define and execute the overarching data and AI vision aligned with business objectives.
• Data Infrastructure & Governance – Build scalable, secure data architecture and pipelines that support current and future needs.
• AI/ML Development & Deployment – Identify, develop, and operationalise AI/ML solutions that deliver high-impact results across the business, including credit risk modelling, fraud detection, customer segmentation, pricing optimisation, and process automation.
• Business Integration & Impact – Ensure initiatives translate into measurable business outcomes.
• Measurement & Continuous Improvement – Define KPIs and metrics to track the impact of data and AI initiatives.

Essential Experience & Expertise:

• Strong technical foundation in AI/ML, advanced analytics, data engineering, and statistical modelling
• Leadership experience building and managing high-performing data and AI teams
• Financial services background, ideally in credit risk, lending, or heavily regulated industries
• Deep understanding of data governance, compliance, and privacy laws
• Proven ability to translate business problems into analytical and AI solutions
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
• Hands-on experience with modern data platforms, MLOps, model deployment, monitoring, and cloud infrastructure.
