Senior Backend Developer (with AWS)

We are seeking a skilled Senior Backend Developer with expertise in AWS to become a key part of our team.

You will take charge of creating, refining, and maintaining reliable backend systems to enable high-performance and scalable applications. Partnering with cross-functional teams, you will deliver robust solutions by leveraging modern cloud platforms. Responsibilities

• Build scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot as core frameworks
• Design and integrate RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems leveraging AWS Lambda and other serverless technologies
• Configure and manage cloud resources through Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform within AWS ecosystems
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and operational automation using Docker, GitHub Actions, and AWS Elastic Beanstalk
• Develop automated testing frameworks for backend services using tools like JUnit, Cucumber, and Selenium
• Enhance system reliability and optimize performance using monitoring tools like Datadog, Splunk, and New Relic
• Manage backend service lifecycles, from development to deployment, monitoring, and issue resolution
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver cohesive and efficient solutions
• Perform code reviews and contribute to documentation and technical planning for critical decisions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in backend development using Java or related programming languages in a professional setting
• Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) with familiarity with alternate backend technologies like Node.js or Python
• Hands-on expertise in Terraform for managing and automating AWS cloud infrastructure
• Practical skills in Docker and CI/CD tools for deploying cloud-native applications efficiently
• Familiarity with tools such as Datadog, Splunk, or New Relic to monitor and optimize system reliability and performance
• Competency in designing and implementing automated testing frameworks for backend components
• Sound understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven system design principles
• Capability to oversee backend services at all stages, ensuring consistent performance and stability in live environments
• Advanced problem-solving skills to diagnose and address backend-related issues effectively
• Proficiency in English (B2 level or above) with strong collaboration and documentation capabilities

Nice to have

• Background in additional programming languages like Ruby or Rust, with the flexibility to work on legacy systems such as AS400
• Knowledge of frontend frameworks like React or TypeScript to support cross-functional development initiatives
• Skills in build and configuration tools such as Maven or Projen to streamline project workflows
• Understanding of creating in-depth technical documentation and initiatives to enhance onboarding and team knowledge-sharing practices
