👥 Your role in the team

• A&RTech is looking for an Android Framework Engineer for our System Software Team
• Since we build devices for embedded applications, it would be an advantage if you have embedded experience.
• The tasks range from the boot process and hardware commissioning to the configuration of network services, implementation and integration of own services.

Qualifications

• In-depth experience with Linux in embedded systems
• Experience with device tree customizations in kernel and U-Boot
• Experience with configuring and compiling AOSP (you can also score points with AAOS knowledge)
• Knowledge of the Android boot process, build systems and device management features
• Understanding of the Android HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) concept and the ability to apply it

Qualifications

• Implementation of customized services, applications and device management features.
• Porting and integration of the Android framework to new hardware platforms / device variants.
• Debugging and resolving issues with Android Framework Integration
• Performance optimization of applications and services on Android devices.
• analysis and evaluation of customer requirements
• Writing test specifications and customer documentation
• Knowledge of Android application development is an advantage

Education

• Technical education (HTL, university, technical college, etc.) and/or relevant professional experience
