Quality and Continuous Improvement Manag
Your Role And Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to coordinate and manage various transfers, ramp-ups, and improvement projects within ABB’s manufacturing operations. You will design layouts, define equipment and materials for optimal workspace solutions, and continue improvement initiatives. Each day, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the order-to-delivery process and lead to changes across the organization.
This role contributes to the Motion High Power Area in Estonia, with key stakeholders including engineering, production, and operations teams.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Project management according to ABB models (gate models, DMAIC).
- Designing and implementing factory layouts and workspace solutions.
- Identifying and assessing improvement opportunities, including hidden factory and quality costs.
- Communicating observations and suggestions to executives, engineering staff, and production teams to improve factory standards.
- Leading the execution of new product introduction projects by effective progress monitoring and controlling
- Effectively building and maintaining strong relationships with multidisciplinary stakeholders through continuous communication
- Degree in Industrial Engineering and Management or relevant
- Practical knowledge of LEAN production; Six Sigma competence is beneficial.
- Advanced mathematical reasoning and visualization ability
- Basic AutoCAD skills.
- Fluent in English; Estonian, Russian and Finnish are beneficial.
- Demonstrated project management and leadership working style
- Proficient communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural team
