Job Description

Feels in 3 Key Points

  • Feels is a fast-growing mobile app redefining online dating with a Strictly Under 30 experience.
  • Join a small (12 people) and super talented team that launched in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Netherlands and Canada.
  • Work closely with our CTO, developers, and Product team to build the future of online dating.

Your Role

You'll play a key role in developing and improving Feels by:

  • Building new features that enhance the user experience
  • Elevating the app interface to state-of-the-art standards
  • Optimising our core user funnels to ensure that:
    • users complete Onboarding,
    • start a first Conversation within 24 hours,
    • and maximize their chances of purchasing a Premium product
  • Improving our internal moderation interface
  • Helping reduce the frontend technical debt
  • Collaborating closely with backend developers
  • Actively contributing to product strategy, feature ideation, and innovation in the online dating space
Work Environment

  • Our main office is in central Paris with a small, tight-knit team of six.
  • Remote work is totally fine - we’re open to fully remote positions.
  • We regularly meet up to connect and have fun together.
  • English is mandatory and is our main communication language

Contract

  • Permanent and full time position (CDI)
  • Start date: the sooner, the better
  • Between €50K and €60K, depending on experience and the interview process

Preferred Experience

Tech Stack

  • Frontend: React Native, TypeScript, RTK, RTK Query, Redux, Saga
  • Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, Postgresql, Redis, socket.io
  • Infrastructure: GCP, Kubernetes (GKE), Cloud SQL, Cloudflare
  • Ops: Gitlab with self hosted runners, Docker, Fastlane

Who We’re Looking For

  • Excellent react native programming skills (5+ years experience)
  • Familiarity with services & technologies used in our Stack
  • Strong understanding of mobile UX and UI practices
  • Experience working on projects with heavy load (thousands of daily users)
  • Strong autonomy, good communication skills

Nice to have

  • An experience in iOS/Android native languages is a real bonus
  • Ability to write tests and improve coverage
  • Interest in backend development, attention to detail, mobile best practices, dating industry

Recruitment Process

3 Interviews

  • Chat with our CPO – Get to know each other, learn more about Feels, get more context about the mission and the objectives
  • Tech interview with our CTO and Mobile Developer – Deep dive into mobile development with a technical test and questions
  • Quick call with other(s) member(s) of the team — Meet other members of the team, discuss UX/UI for the mobile app, evaluate personality fit, and address any remaining questions
