About the Role

As a Data Scientist Intern at Metreecs, you’ll support the bridge between our AI research team and our product and client-onboarding teams. You’ll contribute to shape and maintain the data infrastructure that powers our forecasting models, while ensuring smooth integration for new clients. This is a hands-on role where thoughtful problem-solving and careful implementation make a real difference.

What You’ll Do

• Design & Build ETL Pipelines: Extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources (CSV, APIs, databases) into our data warehouse
• API Integration: Develop and maintain integrations with third-party systems to streamline data flows for both R&D and client setups
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with the AI team to prepare training data, and with the onboarding team to support client data ingestion and custom reports
• Ad Hoc Analytics & Modeling: Use SQL, Python, Pandas, Polars, and ML libraries to explore datasets, prototype models, and deliver insights for client missions

We Expect You To Have

• Experience with SQL and Python, including hands-on work with Pandas and ML libraries
• Familiarity with ETL concepts and building data pipelines
• Experience working with APIs (REST, JSON) and integrating external data sources
• Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
• Flexible, solution-oriented mindset
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and clients

Nice to Have

• Track record of hackathon participation
• Experience with Kaggle competitions
