Luxembourg Head of Office - PE Investment Firm

KR Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting a Luxembourg Head of Office for an international Private Equity firm.

This successful applicant will lead the firm’s European operations hub, overseeing office leadership, cross-functional strategy, and external representation. The Head of Office sets operating rhythms, prioritizes activities, and functions as the main escalation point for governance, operational, and compliance matters. The focus is on strategic alignment and supporting an experienced team across accounting, operations, and corporate functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and shape the Luxembourg office, ensuring clear decision-making processes and efficient coordination across investment, operations, finance, legal, and compliance teams.
• Mentor and manage senior team leaders, drive accountability through regular operating reviews, and supervise staff development and succession planning.
• Serve as escalation point for governance and regulatory issues, balancing risk controls with commercial objectives.
• Oversee governance for various legal entities, act as board member, and participate in relevant governance committees.
• Manage third-party providers and advisors across Europe, enforcing service standards and continuous improvement.
• Maintain strong relationships with auditors, tax compliance, law firms, and regulatory bodies.
• Supervise tax compliance, risk management, financial controls, and implementation of operational improvements.

Profile

• Significant leadership experience (ideally 15–20 years) in operations, accounting, or tax, within investment management, private equity, or professional services; legal background appreciated but not essential.
• Luxembourg residency required.
• Strong skills in accounting, regulatory frameworks (Lux GAAP, IFRS, transfer pricing, AIFMD, etc.), and vendor management.
• Professional certification in accounting/finance preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Analytical, entrepreneurial, organised, and comfortable with process improvement.
