We are looking for an Android Developer who is passionate about building reliable, user-friendly applications that interact with complex backend and real-world systems. You will work in an agile team, contribute across the full software lifecycle, and help us continuously improve our digital products used nationwide.


What You Will Do

− Analyze and understand business requirements to design suitable technical solutions

− Model data, functions, and object structures that form the backbone of our applications

− Develop, implement, and maintain mobile software applications and APIs

− Configure and maintain development and test environments

− Support integration and system testing, ensuring smooth deployment into production

− Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve software defects and performance issues

− Evaluate change requests and collaboratively design improvements

− Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation throughout the software lifecycle


What You Bring

− Hands-on experience developing mobile applications, ideally for Android (Kotlin/Java)

− Solid knowledge of Java and familiarity with modern frameworks and open-source tools

− Experience working within Agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban

− Comfort working with REST/JSON APIs in a distributed systems context

− Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices

− Experience with common development and collaboration tools (e.g., Git, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Artifactory, Sonar, Fortify, Grafana, Splunk, Linux, Kubernetes, Kafka)

− Bonus points if you have experience with AWS, Appium, vert.x or Redis

− A proactive and solution-oriented team player

− Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across roles

− Curious, self-driven, and committed to continuous improvement


Education

− University/technical college degree in computer science or comparable.


Language Skills

− English oral and written

− Optional: German oral (and written)


Additional Comments

− Willingness to travel

− Hybrid Model: One day a week @office (mandatory)
